The Catholic Diocese of Bathurst provides a diverse range of educational options, from primary schools in small rural communities to large secondary schools. Our schools provide high educational standards in a caring and stimulating environment.
More than 9,000 students attend 34 Catholic schools in the Diocese. In partnership with parents and parishes, our schools are committed to fostering Gospel values, academic excellence and life-long service in a faith-centred community. Our Catholic SchoolsCatholic schools are first and foremost religious schools. They provide a unique opportunity for students to grow, both in relationship with God, and also in knowledge, understanding, wisdom and life skills, in a way that promotes the integration of their faith and their daily lives. Catholic schools strive to prepare students with the knowledge and skills needed to make a positive contribution to society and to the Church. As the lived experience of students, the curriculum of a Catholic school embraces all aspects of their human and personal development, and contributes in partnership with other agencies of education towards the development of the whole person. |
